Introduction/specifics

Welcome to our centre!

Inclusive children's centre at Brucker Bahnhof

Our inclusive children's centre is a new building owned by the city of Erlangen and run by Lebenshilfe Erlangen e.V. The certified organic timber-frame building was designed and built with a great deal of care and educational expertise. With two nursery groups and three kindergarten groups, it offers space for children to grow together and is fully accessible.

Inclusion is the guiding principle – being colourful and diverse together

We embrace diversity and create a framework for appreciative educational work that is open to all children. In our children's house, all children, regardless of their individual abilities, needs, backgrounds or limitations, should be able to participate equally in communal living and learning. All people, whether big or small, are accepted in their diversity and differences and are seen as an enrichment to our communal life.

To ensure inclusive work, we create good conditions for professional action within our team. We are educators who carry out our work with great heart and passion, acting professionally and competently. Therapeutic services offered by Lebenshilfe, such as speech therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy, as well as inclusive specialist services, complement our educational work.

Working in partnership with you as parents is very important to us.

Rooms

(Photos coming soon)

Our two-storey building offers children three levels of diverse spaces for playing, learning and discovering – individually, safely and with plenty of room to develop. Ground floor The ground floor houses the two nursery groups, with adjoining sanitary facilities, multifunctional rooms and storage rooms. In addition to a large play corridor, there is also a water play area. Ground floor

The ground floor houses the two nursery groups, with adjoining sanitary facilities, multifunctional rooms and storage rooms. In addition to a large play corridor, there is also a water play area. Here, children can gain experience with water, experiment and develop their motor and sensory skills.

The management office, distribution kitchen and sanitary facilities are also located on the ground floor.

An elevator and a staircase connect all floors.

1st floor

This is where our three Kindergarten groups are located, each with their own bathroom, multi-purpose rooms and storage rooms. A spacious play corridor connects the groups with a Snoezelen room. Here, the children find a safe place of peace and security – they can relax, unwind and immerse themselves in a soothing atmosphere with all their senses.

Two therapy rooms complete the facilities on the first floor and offer space for targeted support measures.

Second floor

The second floor has another therapy room, a large multi-purpose room for exercise and parties, a meeting and staff room, and sanitary facilities – including a barrier-free toilet. The special highlight is our roof terrace, which invites children to play, marvel and relax.

Outdoor Facilities

Outdoor area

Our outdoor area is currently still under construction and will offer a wide range of opportunities for play, exercise and adventure in the future.

There are also six playgrounds in the immediate vicinity that we can use.
