Current information

Dear parents

We are currently in the final stages of allocating places and still have a few places available!

Your team from Kleinen Stern

Introduction/specifics

We give the children in our nursery a structure and therefore stability and security, from which they can actively engage with their environment and thus develop independence and gain experience.

We look after children aged 0.5 to 3 years in our 7 crèche groups, each with 12 full-day places (contingent places: FAU, University Hospital)

House 1: Star group, moon group, cloud group,
House 2: hedgehog group, mouse group, butterfly group, bee group

In our kindergarten group with 25 places, we look after children from the age of 3 until they start school.

House 1: Sun group

Indoor and outdoor play and play phases form the basis for children's self-initiated educational processes. We offer plenty of space for movement in our garden and in the gym. Our Snoezel room with its multifunctional concept promotes inner peace and well-being.

The minimum booking time is more than 3 hours to 4 hours a day for a 5-day week.

Closing times:
1. Christmas = 2 weeks
2. Easter or Whitsun = 1 week
3. summer vacation = 3 weeks
4. bridge days = 2 days (approx.)
5. training days = 1 to 5 days
Two days following the summer vacation are follow-up and preparation days for the staff. All closing days will be announced in good time in the parents' letter!!!

The menus for all meals are available to view and are displayed in the groups.

We pay attention to health and balance in the food we offer:

Basics

At the center of our educational work is the child with all its needs, characteristics, abilities, skills, interests, experiences, strengths and weaknesses. Every child is their own sensitive personality with an individual life situation. We help them to develop self-confidence and self-esteem and thus to grow into an independent and responsible personality.
In our work with the child, we are guided by the basic values of Montessori education and see the child as an active being, as an agent of his or her own development.
Every child has its own pace of development. Learning takes place according to its own inner blueprint in "sensitive phases", i.e. when the child is open to it.
The staff at our Kinderhaus support the child during its development process by observing it closely and creating a prepared environment, responding to its individual needs in a situation-oriented way, offering targeted learning experiences (holistic support) and giving it enough time to develop independently and in interaction with other children.
This happens during free play and free work, because children are curious, thirsty for knowledge and enthusiastic.
In our day-to-day life at the nursery, we always ensure that each individual child is treated with love, appreciation and respect and that the children treat each other with respect. We try to give them a sense of security and safety by building up a trusting relationship with fixed caregivers, accompanying them through the day, providing structure, a space for free decisions, boundaries and rituals.

Overview

In cooperation, we primarily offer contingent places for employees of FAU and the University Hospital Erlangen. Please indicate your employer here so that we can consider you.

You can make a reservation for your child all year round.
As soon as we have a place for your child in the booking time categories you have requested, we will inform you and then invite you to a contract meeting (approx. 1.5 hours) to discuss further details and then show you around our childcare center. After this comprehensive inspection and exchange on site, you will have some time to make a decision and, if necessary, to hand in all the completed contract documents.

We would ask you in particular to allow sufficient time for settling in and to plan this into your return to work (generally 4-6 weeks, preferably 8 weeks). This is because every child is individual and needs different amounts of time for this sensitive phase, which we always want to take into account.
