This is us:

The Ankerplatz daycare center is a newly founded facility of the International Federation (IB), which opened in July 2020 and is constantly growing.

In our diverse team, we look after children from one year old until they start school.

One of our big focuses is sustainability. According to the motto: “You only protect what you love.” (behavior researcher Konrad Lorenz), we want to give children knowledge about our nature, animals and environment.

The aim is to support children in growing into independent, empathetic and responsible people who are able to make their own decisions. We also want to give them a mindful attitude towards their fellow human beings, animals and nature, as well as their toys and other materials.

Opening hours:

Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
Friday:                      7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m

Daily Schedule

Our core hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Daily crèche routine:

7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.: Drop-off time

9:00 a.m.: Breakfast

9:30 a.m.: Morning circle together

9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.: free play time, time for educational activities, excursions

11:15 a.m.: Lunch group 1

12:00 p.m.: Lunch group 2

11:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Bedtime as needed; rest time

2:00 p.m.: Time for an afternoon snack

2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Free play time

Kindergarten daily routine:

7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.: Drop-off time

10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: free play time, time for educational activities, excursions

From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Lunch (staggered in groups)

1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Rest time and bedtime as needed

2:30 p.m.: Time for an afternoon snack

3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Free play time

Food

Each child brings their own breakfast and afternoon snack from home.

We get lunch from an organic caterer. When choosing food, we make sure to show the children a variety of different foods. Balance is very important to us. For children who are not allowed to eat certain foods for health or religious/cultural reasons, there is always a vegetarian alternative or a suitable allergy food.

We cut fresh fruit and vegetables for the children every day and offer them at various meals.

Once a month we offer a healthy breakfast in both areas. On this day there is a selection of different mueslis, yoghurt, fruit and vegetables, as well as fresh wholemeal bread and spreads.
